Real-time live transcriptions. A Chrome extension that captions any tab's audio as it plays.
transcribr captures the audio from whatever tab you're on and renders a draggable caption bar over the page — YouTube, Meet, Zoom, podcasts, anything that makes sound. You keep hearing the tab normally while it runs.
How it works
You bring your own Deepgram API key. Audio goes straight from your browser to Deepgram over an encrypted WebSocket. There is no transcribr server in the middle — no backend exists, so nothing of yours passes through us.
Privacy
No analytics, no telemetry, no tracking. Transcription text is shown and discarded, never stored. The extension requests access to exactly one host, Deepgram's API, and nothing else you visit.
